The Hijama Directory has now been 10% upgraded to the new map-based Directory

As you might be aware, we have been compiling a simple Hijama Directory at www.hijamadirectory.info since November, 2009 after we started receiving requests from blog subscribers asking for the location and information of their nearest therapists.

Over the past 4 years we have gradually had almost 500 therapists registering on the Directory from different parts of the world, and after running some recent surveys with blog-subscribers as well as the therapists themselves, the conclusion was the directory was now due for an upgrade. 



In the past few months we have been experimenting with a new map-based directory format at www.hijamadirectory.co and last month, when we finally reached our limit on the old directory of 500 entries, we have started upgrading all the therapists to the new Directory.

So far we have upgraded about 10% (ie 50 therapists) to the new directory, so please try out the new Directory and give us your feedback. In particular if you can try the "My Nearest Therapist" feature at the following link to see if it works for your location:

This page should automatically show you your nearest therapists based on your current location provided your location is known to your browsing platform

Let us know what information you need about your local therapists and we will make sure the entries are updated with the required information, for example:

Do you feel it is important to know:
- Your local therapist's location on a map
- Whether they have male and female therapists
- What languages they speak
- What qualifications they have in Hijama and any other relevant/ medical qualifications
- How much experience they have in Hijama
- Their contact details (email address and telephone number and website if any)
- Their opening times
- Any other details that you feel are important
