This is a guest-post in the form of a written interview with Abu Abdul Wali - a male cupping therapist based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Please give us a short introduction about yourself, and in particular how you ended up being a hijama therapist?

My name is Abu Abdul Wali & I live in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I am a metallurgical engineer by profession; I graduated from UET (University of Engineering & Technology) Lahore in 1992.

I always loved Tibb-e-Nabawi foods (especially vinegar + barley bread) & Tibb-e-Nabawi herbs, & their quick healing had inspired my family & friends, especially the vinegar, I started to brew vinegar in my house & from there, my trust increased more for the TRUE SHIFA, I started sharing my vinegar & a blend which I made with 17 herbs of Tibbe-e-Nabawi to many of my friends & they healed miraculously, & then, one of my friends pushed me to learn Hijamah as well, it was just a matter of few days & Allah the Almighty Gave me the training to be a Hajjaam.

What particular illnesses/ conditions (if any), do you specialize / had the most experience in?

I have seen that all Mahjooms cured very quickly after Hijamah, including patients with back pain, cervical (NECK) pain, diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, headache & migraine, Sciatica, skin irritations & pigments, sinus, numbness in hands & feet, etc. I performed Hijamah on a CVA patient (Cerebrovascular accident ~ Hemiplegia ~ FAALIJ) who also suffered with Bell's palsy (Laqwa), & after 2 days, I noticed that stretch on his face disappeared by more than 50 %.

Many patients came who were wearing the cervical collar for the last 10-12 months & they removed it after 2 Hijamah sessions. Their pains disappeared.

My wife also performs Hijamah & she told me that women with menstrual blockage got the cure, their menstruation opened after Hijamah, we can say for sure that by Allah's will, Hijamah can also be the cure for infertility Insha'Allah.

Some people were under the evil spell of JINN / magic & they also got the cure with Hijamah (Alhamdolillah).

And do you find that in your experience, the conditions/illnesses that you have come across respond well to cupping (hijama) therapy? And if so, what are they?

As per Hadith, Hijamah is the best remedy / treatment in this world & we have a trust that all types of ailments, starting from a mild headache / pain till CANCER can be 100 % cured Insha'Allah by Hijamah.

We have also cupped cancer patients & they felt a new hope of life. I remember a person who had Colon Cancer, the monstrous cancer pierced his large intestine, then the flesh & finally the skin; & the patient had a new anal opening. He never felt the stool pressure & he never knew that stool was coming out of his new anus without any prior notice, after every 30-40 minutes, stool used to pass out throughout the day, while standing, sitting & even during the sleep. His entire lower back over the buttocks had hardened like plastic & the skin's color had turned black. We had to apply 7 cups on his buttocks & we gave him additional medicine from Tibb-e-Nabawi, mainly Blessed blend of 17 herbs, one teaspoon daily, SIDR berries (UNAAB), Barley's Saweeq (SATTU) to be taken thrice every day, HENNA Water with honey at empty stomach daily + Henna Khazaab at the anal opening, Dill tea + Mugwort tea at alternative days, plus Pomegranate vinegar with water to be taken twice per day. Masha'Allah after 5 days, color of his face changed with reflection of a new life & he looked fresh & comfortable, & frequency of passing the stools had reduced amazingly. I ensured him that all of us have to die one day, & I guarantee you that you will never die due to your cancer, you will have a death like a healthy person moves out of this world.

AND WE ENSURE ALL CANCER PATIENTS OF UMMAT-E-MUHAMMAD THAT "ALL OF US HAVE TO DIE ONE DAY, & ON BEHALF OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD SALLALLAHO ALAIHE WASALLAM, I GUARANTEE THEM THAT WITH a FIRM YAQEEN (belief), A'AMAAL-E-SALEHAAT, HIJAMAH & TIBB-E-NABAWI FOODS & HERBS, THEY WILL HEAL COMPLETELY, & THEY WILL NEVER DIE DUE TO THEIR CANCER, THEY WILL HAVE A DEATH LIKE A HEALTHY PERSON DIES BY THE ORDER OF ALLAH.

Also what would you say about using cupping as a general preventative therapy and how often would you recommend this (once a month? once/twice a year?)

Hijamah when combined with Tibb-e-Nabawi foods & herbs becomes more powerful & with these true principals of SHIFA, a Muslim can never get sick.

If a person never had Hijamah in the past, we recommend for him 3 sessions primarily (head, back, legs), each repeated after 90 days, we drain from head to toe, for women, we recommend 2 additional sessions (one for breast cancer prevention & the other for ovary / uterus / infertility / menstruation related diseases), once the drainage will complete, the body will get habitual to Hijamah & it will give an alarm of when it is needed again, with pollution, un-healthy food & sluggish lifestyle, modern medicine, etc. we manufacture the septic blood very quickly & everyone needs Hijamah after 4 ~ 6 months.

Disease was Created by Allah & CURE is also Provided by Allah, so why to go through the painful cycle of DMC (Disease ~ Medicine ~ CURE) ?

By disease, Allah Provides an opportunity to reduce the burden of sins, furthermore, He needs from a Muslim to follow the true principals of SHIFA, which help a Muslim to develop & strengthen belief on his LORD, the DMC cycle creates a strong connection between a Muslim & Rahman, between a slave & his Master, between a Mo'min (Allah's name) & a Mo'min (a Muslim).

Following are the true principals of SHIFA / Healing :

1. Healing by Belief that Allah Has Sent the disease & Allah is the HEALER, & if the healing is delayed, it is by Allah's Wisdom & Hikmah

2. Healing by Aa'maal-e-Saalehaat, Salaat, Sadaqah, Fast, Quran, Zikr, Duaas & Ruqya, Husn-e-Khulq, Istighfaar, etc.

3. Healing by the foods of Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam

4. Healing by the herbs of Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam

5. Healing by HIJAMAH; which is Sunnah & the best kind of treatment in this world

As a hijama therapist, how often do you get hijama done yourself, and what for (if any specific condition) and who do you go to get it done (since it is not an easy therapy to self-administer)?

For myself, I take Hijamah after 2 ~ 3 months, because I love it, it is not specific for a certain condition, I have trained my wife & she is now well experienced, so my Hijamah is performed by her.

I have some requests to all HAJJAMS:

* For cleaning Hijamah incisions, I only use pure Henna leaves ground in front of my eyes (Henna sold at the markets always has colors & chemicals, never use it for treating wounds & even for coloring your hairs), it is the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam to apply Henna on wounds & cuts, I have seen that Henna seals the incisions very quickly, diabetic patients were always afraid of Hijamah (because of their delayed wound healing), but with HENNA, I was so confident to win their TRUST, one of my Mahjoom was a Type 1 Diabetic with blood sugar as 630, but with HENNA, it was just so simple to seal his Hijamah wounds.

* Hijamah for a woman should only be performed either by her husband OR by a woman only, & if a woman will be cupped by a male Hajjaam, SHIFA will never come down from the skies.

* Along with Hijamah, our Hajjaams should also combine Tibb-e-Nabawi foods (like vinegar, barley bread, Hais, Saweeq, and Talbinah) & Tibb-e-Nabawi herbs, their healing is so quick & affective & I can provide guidance for that.

Whereabouts is your clinic or practice located?

I work at a Foundry here in Jeddah & my time is always short, I do not have any clinic & whenever a friend needs Hijamah, I go to his house.
